5 (five)
Five fruits & vegetables per day. Try to make half your child’s plate fruits and vegetables everyday! Sneak in healthy snacks throughout the day. Children should eat a variety of vegetables, particularly dark-green, red, and orange vegetables, and beans & peas. Picky eaters will still benefit from any fruits or veggies they chose to eat.
2 (two)
Two hours or less of recreational screen time per day. is that even possible these days? With remote learning, it seems unlikely. If more than two hours of screen time is necessary, ensure the additional time is spent consuming educational resources.
1 (one)
One or more hours of active play. When possible, choose games, toys & activites that require physical activity!
0 (zero)
Zero sugar-sweetened beverages. Drink fat-free or low-fat milk or water instead of sugary drinks.
