Dr. Jasmine R. Holmes is a pediatrician native to New Orleans, LA. Her ongoing journey as a Black woman sprouting from impoverished city-youth into the field of medicine provides a humble perspective that continues to drives her ambitions. The product of a loving village, she is deeply appreciative of the redeeming potential of early educational interventions, social support systems, and longitudinal mentorships. Her inspiration to form WGEWT grew from an effort to combine public health, community wellness, & early education into an organized collective effort for community benefit. She is a proud alumna of Xavier University of Louisiana, Harvard T. H. Chan School of Public Health, and Johns Hopkins School of Medicine.

Dr. Melinda Williams is the Chief Operating Officer of WGEWT. In this role, she aids Dr. Holmes in developing and implementing plans for WGEWT as well as making sure all goals of WGEWT come to fruition. Dr. Williams is a trained clinical researcher and epidemiologist; she has collaborated with Louisiana State University, Tougaloo College and Tulane University on various research assignments focusing on health literacy, community wellness, chronic disease outcomes and social determinants of health, just to name a few. She is a New Orleans native and a proud HBCU Alumna.

Ms. Jade Fleury is the Chief Information Officer and Director of Social Engagement of WGEWT, where she facilitates planning & executing community events and aids in developing culturally-relevant, socially-engaging local programs. As a native New Orleanian and math educator, Jade is passionate about helping youth develop into confident problem solvers who think critically and live authentically. In her current professional role as a math content leader, Jade works alongside local teachers & school leaders to support math instruction. In her spare time, Jade enjoys spending time with her family—particular her four nephews—as well game nights with friends, reading & watching fantasy, and of course, solving math problems.
